Game Studies Researcher, Content Creator for and with Video Games
Playing video games and engaging with them critically is my passion. This took me to my current position as a PhD student at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan, where I explore the relationship of travel and tourism in video games. In my free time, I stream my own adventures, connecting with people and building a small community.
it wasn’t until i was 24 when i began starting questions about my family’s heritage. as i recently finished Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai’s The Mountains Sing, i once again asked my parents, my aunt and my grandmother about our story. this time, i even dared to dream of my ancestral home.
a new place to share my thoughts. Though this will primarily serve as a portfolio website, I am planning on using the blog functions of wordpress every now and then. Probably not very smart to share my thoughts out on the internet on a website that’s supposed to give me some kind of credentials in academia but here I am – I do always like to put myself out there …
